The Digitisation and Digital Preservation Group (DEA) was established in 2002 as a service unit for digitisation and software development at the University of Innsbruck Library. The group has launched several projects in the digitisation and digital preservation domain. In 2006 the group initiated the Digitisation on Demand project, which led to the foundation of the EOD Network. Today EOD comprises nearly 40 European libraries which are all offering a digitisation on demand service. The DEA group is also responsible for the large-scale digitisation of books, newspapers and journals for clients from the library and archives domain.
